As you may know, The Humanitarian Forum has been working on the research and dialogue process leading up to the World Humanitarian Summit (WHS), which will take place in Istanbul in May 2016. We are pleased to confirm that our Acting Director, Dr. Tareq Bakri, will be one of the moderators overseeing the online consultation for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The online consultation will run until Sunday 8th February. To participate you can sign up here. For more background documents, please visit the resources section on the World Humanitarian Summit website.

We’d like to encourage you all to spread the word about the online consultation and to see it as a chance for all stakeholders in the delivery of humanitarian aid to take part. This is an opportunity to make your voices heard and contribute to the global reassessment of humanitarian work.

The main regional consultation for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, organised by UN OCHA, will take place in Amman, Jordan, from 3rd-5th March 2015. It will be hosted by the Government of Jordan, and is being guided by a Regional Steering Group that is co-chaired by the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
