The League of Arab States hosted the national consultation for civil society organisations in Egypt
to prepare for the WHS. The event was held on 16th November 2014 in coordination with UNOCHA and was attended by
16 civil society organisations. The purpose of this workshop was to present the Egyptian experience in the field of humanitarian work by focusing on the four themes of the summit.
The participants called for more focus on disaster reduction programs and building the capacity of civil society organisations in Egypt while taking into account the diversity of the needs of refugees and beneficiaries.
