In Bahrain we worked with UN OCHA and The Royal Charity Organisation who hosted the consultation on 25th May. Representatives of 22 local and international charities and humanitarian organisations attended and discussed how the organisations present could develop their relationships, leverage and links with decision makers in governments and the private sector. They also spoke about educating donors on cost-effectiveness and how to be adequately equipped and resourced so they can develop early warning systems and a simpler chain of communication between all actors involved in humanitarian responses.
