WHAF Activities in Syria
The consultative sessions planned for September 2025 under the project “Strengthening the Role of Civil Society in Syria” were postponed due to the timing of the Syrian parliamentary elections.
Instead, WHAF partnered once again with Islamic Relief Canada as part of the Inspire program, joining young people and volunteers on field visits to several projects in Syria between 12–20 September 2025.
From 29 September to 3 October 2025, WHAF also took part in additional project visits in partnership with Islamic Relief Worldwide. These included meetings with local partners and visits to health, education, and community-based initiatives.
The cities visited during this period included Damascus, Ariha, Idlib, and Aleppo.
