Launch of Zakat Insights & Co-Learning Series
WHAF has launched Zakat Insights, a monthly newsletter exploring zakat, social justice, and the evolving global systems shaping its administration.
Alongside this, WHAF convenes the Zakat and Justice Co-Learning Series, bringing together practitioners, scholars, and institutional leaders. The first session, “Zakat for Women’s Empowerment and Justice,” centered women’s lived experiences within zakat systems. The second, “Zakat, Ramadan, and Sustainable Giving,” addressed debates around accountability, transparency, and trust in the sector during Ramadan.
The third session, “Zakat & Environmental Justice,” focuses on the links between zakat, climate responsibility, and environmental justice.
